Unbound Booking is a three-year old booking agency that caters to family-friendly community performances and workshops in venues such as schools, libraries, community centers, etc. across the nation. We are expanding, and breaking into larger venues including performance arts centers, and festivals. In the past three years we have booked over $80,000 worth of gigs for our current artists. This is your opportunity to come be a part of our family.

We are accepting applications:

Unbound Booking is now accepting applications for new talent in the fields of cultural music, educational workshops, and other family-friendly programming. In order to apply you MUST meet the following requirements:

Your performance/workshop/art-form must be:

(no exceptions)

• Family friendly (G or PG rating, and scalable to multiple age ranges)
• Cultural and/or Educational (Be creative, make what you do… educational!)
• Self-contained and reliable (you have your own sound-gear/props if necessary)

Examples include: Celtic/Historical/Mariachi/Bluegrass/Western/Russian/Oriental/Opera music, nearly any educational workshop, storytellers, puppeteers, published authors, etc.

You must be:

• Professional, responsible and enthusiastic about presenting
• Able to keep 20 – 200 audience members of various ages engaged
• Willing and able to travel to scheduled events, on time and ready to present.
• Willing and able to reliably keep your presentation calendar up to date
• Willing and able to pass a background check (National criminal/sex offender)

We give first preference to artists that are touring (nationally or regionally).

What we expect, and what we offer:

If you are accepted onto the Unbound Booking roster you will be expected to use our calendar as your primary calendar. We will provide you with a great online calendar widget (graphical or textual) that you may add to your website &/or social media sites. This is to ensure that none of our artists are inadvertently double-booked at opposite ends of the country. Basically your Unbound Booking Calendar is the one you post gigs to first. We need to have an accurate and up-to-date representation of your availability. Don’t worry, our calendar will be easy to post to from any computer (mac or pc) or even smartphone!

There is a $10 monthly fee for remaining on our roster. You will be expected to be available for shows (why would you want an agent if you aren’t available to perform?).

There is a one-time $20 PER PERFORMER fee for background checks. (Your application fee will cover the first $20; if there is only one person in your act then you are already taken care of.) You must be reliable, and on-time to every show booked through us. We expect you to be available, entertaining and engaging.

In return, Unbound Booking will provide you with performances of no less than $300 per performance. On average, the last three years we provided each of our performers at least one show per month, and we are expecting this number to rise.

Unbound Booking will take %15 commission for every show booked through us. We do not require exclusivity; you may book or have booked for you as many engagements/shows as you wish in addition to ours, so long as they show up on our calendar. Unbound Booking only expects commission on Unbound Booking venues.

We Provide:

• Professional booking agent (15%  booking fee) - with a database of over fifteen thousand venues
• Dedicated toll free number for venues to call
• Non-exclusive contract
• Some promotional materials (press releases, flyers, etc.)
• Performances that pay no less than $300

How to apply:

To apply, send the following:

• $20 (non-refundable, application fee. This will be applied to the price of your background check if you are added to our roster.) We accept payments via personal check, Paypal, or Credit card. Please do not send cash.
• Your press kit, including:
  
  1. A brief description of one-hour programs you can offer
  2. Audio and/or video as appropriate
  3. Two Press photos (we may require additional photos if you are added to our roster)
  4. Your contact information.

We will accept electronic press kits or press kits physically mailed.

We will contact you within one week of receiving your press kit to confirm that we received your application and are reviewing it. Expect a final decision from us within two months of receipt of your application (we are aiming for one month, but know that depending on the response, it may be later than we would hope for).
