Do you require artists to sign an exclusive contract with your agency?
No. Our contracts are non-exclusive. We encourage you to book as many shows as you feel is right for you. All we ask is that you keep our calendar up to date at all times so that you don’t accidentally get double booked.

Do you negotiate travel expenses into your contracts?
No. Our contracts are based on a flat fee. We only book shows in areas where you will be already. We assume that since you will be there already, you have already taken care of your own travel and lodging expenses, but would still welcome the extra show. This model seems to work best with artists that drive for most of their tours.

What is the minimum contract price for a show that you negotiate?
$300 unless special circumstances apply, AND we have in writing from the artist that they are willing to accept less. Shows paying less than $300 are evaluated on a case by case basis.

Are we as artists allowed to set our price for any given performance arranged?
No. All of our shows are guaranteed to be between $300-$999, but we do not guarantee what price that will be for any given show. To be on our roster you must be equally willing to accept a $300, 1 hour performance, as a $999, 1 hour performance.

How can I determine if what I do meets your educational or cultural requirements?
First off, do you teach something? Do you help educate people? Does your presentation include teaching moments where you present specifics about your art form. A good example: A bluegrass musician who can talk about the history of bluegrass during their performance would be both educational and cultural. A storyteller who tells Native American folk tales, and then a little bit about the particular tribe would be educational and cultural.

What types of venues do you primarily book acts into?
Our mainstay is public libraries. Because of the expansion that we are going through at the moment, we anticipate expanding into schools and colleges in 2012 and performance arts centers sometime after that.

Do you arrange block bookings with libraries?
Yes, whenever possible.

What happens if a performer doesn't show up for a contracted performance?
If you, as a performer, are unexpectedly unable to show up for a contracted performance for ANY reason, you should contact Unbound Booking IMMEDIATELY. Our toll free number is 888-526-6587.

If you fail to show up to a performance, you are still responsible for paying the 15% booking fee, and it is due immediately to Unbound Booking. IF the venue is still willing to deal with the performer at all, we -strongly- encourage performers to then offer the venue a free performance at the convenience of the venue, subject to the performer's availability. (Our performers DO NOT miss contracted performances.)

What types of acts are you looking for?
We are willing to look at anyone that fits within the educational or cultural definition. Ideally we would like more storytellers, historical impersonators, people focusing on making science & math fun, and cultural/ethnic music of any kind (i.e. celtic, mariachi, opera, african etc.)
