Kathleen Finnegans family hails from County Armagh in Northern Ireland. Through her harp she brings the history and culture of Ireland and other areas of the Celtic world to a variety of venues. Kathleen does a wonderful job of tailoring her performances and presentations to the age of the audience, giving history, background & sometimes specific stories of the music she plays, and an explanation of the instrument itself along with varying stages of the harps development throughout world history. She plays a variety of traditional music, both familiar and obscure, from Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, Brittany & the European Continent and enjoys bringing the history and culture of the harp to audiences through music.
