Testimonial: Kerry Grombacher Writing Workshops, Library Concert
“…you touched individuals and turned them on to creating words.” (e-mail cover note)
It is with great pleasure that I write about my experiences with Kerry Grombacher as an instructor and performer. Kerry came to north central Montana in October 2007 to present poetry-writing workshops. Mr. Grombacher is a professional that is flexible and understanding, for in…three days, he conducted two workshops, he served as a judge for a poetry-writing contest and he presented a concert for an evening performance. All programs were well received. The students and the teachers, because of the extraordinary vision of Kerry Grombacher, remember the workshop on the Stone Child College campus fondly.
For an example, as Kerry drove along highway 2 coming into Havre he recognized the local high school emblem as a ‘blue pony,’ he immediately wrote a song about leaving Havre. This Havre song made an impression to many of his young poetry students. Several months later one of his young workshop attendees was moving from Havre.
I asked what she wanted for a parting gift and she asked if I could give her one of Kerry Grombacher’s musical cd’s that included the Havre song.
Our community has been enthused about combining art and poetry in a display since Kerry Grombacher’s visit to north central Montana. The local artists work hand in hand with the Montana Country Poets and Pickers to organize an annual art/poetry display at the Havre-Hill County Library. For more information about this display contact Bonnie Williamson, Library Director. The library’s e-mail address is hhcl@mtintouch.net

To whom it may concern,
I recently selected The Muses (Tanya Brody and Matt Gurnsey) to perform a concert at our library. Their music and singing were delightful and they were entertaining and fun as well. The audience consisted of people from age five to eighty five and everyone enjoyed the performance. We received great feedback, as it was the perfect family evening at the Chili Public Library!
If you were looking for a creative, interesting and entertaining program for your organization, I would highly recommend The Muses!
Sincerely
Sandra E. Roether

The Muses played a lovely concert, 9/27/08, at the Brockport Seymour
Library. We had a great turn out and everyone who came loved the show.
The Muses do a great job of making the audience laugh and have a great
time. The songs were based on the Ballad as History. This was very
informative as they discussed the people in the songs they sang. It was a
little history with a lot of wonderful singing.
Everyone had a smile on their face during the performance and I have still
been getting calls saying the show was excellent days later. I totally
recommend the Muses for any occasion.
Sincerely
Jennifer Hammond
